What is the story with the macaw? Is it just a plucker? If so, I've never seen a bird so completely without even fuzz.

All the birds are totally cool. Are the common moorhen and tricolored heron part of the exhibits or were they wild? Either way, it's awesome you were able to get so close. I've only seen moorhens a couple times in my life and they show up about 5 pixels tall in my photos because they're always so far away. And I've never seen a tricolored heron before. Gosh are they pretty! I'm envious of your laughing gulls, too. Laughing gulls are so cool. :B

Aaaugh, I want to feed flamingos! Can I come visit you guys? You guys gonna be free for the next couple of weeks? :B

Sadly I have.. it's not uncommon to see parrots pluck completely bald whatever they can reach, but most often chest and armpitt feathers. :( Some go so far to continue to chew, and chew into flesh, which isn't as common but happens enough with cockatoos that it's really, really sad.

Completely wild! There's a albino peacock that's wild there too, just flew in one day and stays for the food.

Rah dude you can visit any freaking time, this place is 4 miles from my house :3

Awww :(

So sad.. when I was in Grand Caymen there were two macaws in a cage near Margaritaville, and they were both swaying back and forth and looked like they were going a little insane. Poor things. I hate that people get animals (especially intelligent, long-lived animals like birds!) and then think they're just toys that can be kept on a shelf until someone wants to play with them. Some people don't understand that having animals is a commitment to a living creature, with very real needs.

Ok, is that supposed to be the long lost link to Lions on that last pic? lol.

Yeah. I have seen the Macaw's when you are plucked. Its not a pretty sight. I am glad that the bird was rescued.

Thanks for sharing the pics.
